The past couple years have given us warmer hues, such as the bold and vibrant Tangerine Tango, which is a slightly orange shade of red, and the more subdued but still bright Honeysuckle pink. By contrast, this year’s choice strays to the opposite side of the color wheel with bright Emerald green. In nature just as in our fabricated man-made world, green is easily paired with almost anything – bright flowery colors, darker subdued shades, and pale pastels are all compatible in the right designs. Green has the unique ability to work with any eye color, so your dolled-up bridesmaids’ eyes will be sure to dazzle whether green, blue, brown, or hazel.  Emerald green will also be able to enhance any choice of flowers in your decor. All in all, it’s a very easy color to work with.

What comes to mind when you think of the color green? Chances are, you feel relaxed and unworried. Luminous and energizing, any shade of verdant green can inspire feelings of peace and balance. On a totally uncontrollable, subconscious level, our inner cavemen associate an abundance of green with a plentiful water supply and a slim chance of starvation. The Nashoba Valley Technical High School Junior/Senior Prom was held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Wachusett Mountain from 6-11 p.m. Platinum Productions was proud to provide special effects and more. The prom theme and song was “Somewhere Only We Know” by Keane. They had 2 Custom Monograms, 2 46″ LED-LCD HDTVs on truss towers which displayed a custom graphic which we designed for them, and our Dancing On A Cloud effect for the Prom King & Queen Dance and the last dance of the night. We also had our Dancing Under the Liquid Sky enhancement for the last dance of the night. Our top of the line sound systems are ideal for virtually any audience and our computerized intelligent laser light show transforms the school dance atmosphere into an amazing and dazzling club experience. Whether you are a student at your first prom or a chaperone reliving treasured memories from youth, these astounding special effects will definitely electrify the entire event.

Not only did the school hire us for our DJ Services, they hired Hyo-Shin to do magic during the “mocktail hour” and at the tables during dinner along with a number of enhancements that truly gave the event an ultimate WOW factor. Hyo-Shin performed many different routines that displayed his skills with both magic and showmanship. With well-timed jokes that had the whole crowd erupting in laughter, his sleight of hand shocked the room with illusions, one after another after another. Whether it was bursts of fire astonishing the students, or the shouts of disbelief as they witnessed the close up magic miracles, the audience kept calling for encores. It was very clear that the night was a success as many people were left with memories that they will cherish forever.

Our magician Hyo-Shin Kim recently held a stage performance for a talent show at Fitchburg State University. The show itself was held at Percival Hall Auditorium on December 14, 2011, and consisted of a wide array of talents. From an orchestra and dancers, to rapping and singing, all were magnificently displayed. Hyo-Shin was featured as the closer for the show, succeeding to win the competition with a first place finish. His comedic act was spiced with improvised and hilarious routines and ended with an astonishing finale that left many people gasping and screaming of shocked wonder.
